Square thyristor chip is a kind of thyristor chip, and a four-layer semiconductor structure with three PN junctions, including gate, cathode, silicon wafer and anode.

The cathode, silicon wafer and anode are all flat and square shape. One side of the silicon wafer is attached with cathode, another side is attached with anode, a lead hole is opened on the cathode, and the gate is arranged in the hole. The gate, cathode and anode surface are lined with solder material. The main production processes include: silicon wafer cleaning, diffusion, oxidation, photolithography, corrosion, passivation protection, metallization, testing and dicing.

The Runau Semiconductor square thyristor chip is double negative angle shape, passivation protected by SIPOS+GLASS+LTO, distributed aluminum diffusion, thick aluminum layer, metallized multi-layer with TiNiAg or Al+TiNiAg, such enable the high performance of low on-state voltage drop, high blocking voltage, easy bonding and wide application in power module manufacture.
